United Nation's Day was so much fun! The children had a blast! Thanks to all of you who took the time to cook, dress your child in a costume and come to the show! I really pleases me to see how many families were able to come. It was a little busy trying to feed a full-house, so next year I will try a different strategy for the lunch, but it was still great!
One of the reasons we choose to celebrate United Nation's Day with the children is to reinforce how wonderful our diverse community is! Please talk to your child about it too! Teaching tolerance and acceptance at this young age can follow them them through life.
Scholastic Book orders are due on Monday 11/1! Help our class get some new books by placing an order for some books for your family!
Our school Fall Festival is Saturday November 6th at the Main Campus from 2-5PM. I hope to see you there. I will be bringing my daughter to have some fun with the students!

United Nation's Day
I am sure you have all seen the flier regarding our United Nation's Day celebration! It it this Wednesday the 27th. The parade begins at 10:45 AM. Dress your child in traditional costume of their heritage and bring a dish to share for our lunch! The children are all so excited to perform for you and have been practicing! I look forward to my first U.N. Day celebration with Faith North Montessori.
Quick note: Many of the children are preparing to begin handwriting. Give your child a head-start by correcting how they hold their spoon and fork at meal times. We hold our utensils in the same manner as we hold a pencil.
Questions or comments for me? Please ask!

October Post
So much to share! So far the children and I have discussed Volcanoes, Lakes and Islands, Land Water & Air, magnets, compass and the parts of the pumpkin. Next up is North America, the parts of the tree and the parts of the mammal. We are also practicing greeting with a handshake-they LOVE to practice it!
Please EMPTY your child's backpack EVERYDAY! I have been seeing lots of papers come back to school that needed to be home.
Sound, Word or Number books: You all have seen them, but what can you do with them? Practice! Let your child give you a lesson!
Information on our United Nation's Day Celebration is on the way! October 27th is the big day.
Coming soon is our Fall Festival!
